The best book on food I've ever read was A Debt to Pleasure, by John Lanchester. I loved it and would highly recommend it. Some of the most scrumptious food descriptions I've ever read about and the intriguing mysterious storyline is also a treat itself.
Manansala’s Tita Rosie mystery series depicts all kinds of Filipino food and includes recipes!
